My buddy blew out his ACL yesterday on his 3rd Tantrum attempt ever.
My question is this: Does any trick seem more likely to injure you than another? Those who have injured themselves, what trick were you doing?

I'm no expert but it seems to me like I've heard of a lot of people who blew their ACLs on tantrums.

Maybe it's because people tend to "feel for the landing" with straight legs?

Maybe it's because they get a little off-axis and tend to land in a bad way (for ACLs).

I'm not sure. Hopefully that survey that someone was taking will shine some light on the subject.

Sprained ankles are very common when you come short on a Tantrum. I have a sprained ankle right now from a tantrum.

I agree with Jeff, ankles get tweaked if you come up short. My knees are usually pretty flexed when I land a tantrum.

We rode this morning and I was working on Whirlys which have a pretty simmilar landing to tantrums and my ankles don't feel exactly normal now. Of course it pulled my eyelids over the top of head to make for a nice swimming cap too.

Missing a Raley can do some pretty good damage also.

Skiing made me board,
