I was emailed this pic from someone helping me with my boat decision. This pic is of an 06 x15 with full ballast (i think its 650lbs or 1000k not sure) and 4 people in the boat. The second pic is of the surf wake. I guess they didn't have it dialed in correctly but he still sent me the pic.

The 1st pic looks pretty clean, with a lot of room for more weighting options... I like it.

The surfing pic looks like it could definitely be cleaned-up.

Oh crap... The 1-10 thing. I have no idea, I'd have to ride it 1st.

joshua, it is really hard to tell from just looking at a picture. From the boat, a wake can look small, but on the water is can be a lot bigger than you think. You really have to ride it. Also, it would be nice to see the wake next to a person. We could dell the size a little better.

the first looks really clean. Judging on what I can tell, vs the shots of my favorite wakes, I would give it a solid 6 or higher.

4 .....actually 3

MC site say's "This is one boat that’s sick to ride behind."

I'd be sick if I dropped the $$$ for that boat and the wake size looked like that. Maybe the picture is deceiving? Still only a 3.

it's really hard to tell from just a picture.

It looks about right for stock ballast and 4 people. Another question you have to ask is what's the speed of the boat at the time of the picture? So many people snap a picture of their wake when they're going 20-21 mph so it looks bigger. That's such a joke. The only picture I ever believe of a wake is when someone is in the pic jumping the wake.

What I noticed when we rode behind the X-15 was that it still had a nice shape and lip at 24-25 mph. A lot of boats at that speed suck for wake shape.

I know what I like in a wake, so if to rate something 1-10 I rate the X-1 and the SAN wake a 10. Those two wakes are my favorite, I would say the X-15 wake is around a 7.5. It's not as steep as the X-1 wake and doesnt offer the same kind of straight up pop.

Other wakes I would rate, compared to the X-1, and San

VLX 8
V-ride 7.5
Supra 21v 6.5 (hard to keep clean, have to go faster then 25 mph weighted)
Supra 24ssv 9
X-star 8.5
Bu 23lsv 7.5

like I said, I like the slightly steeper wakes so when I rate a wake I compare it to my favorite and then rate them accordingly. It will be different for everyone for sure. To rate the wake a 3-4 is a joke? What ever

I think the first wake looks pretty clean. I agree with Paul. To rate that wake a 3-4 is a big joke. Give me a break.

Look at the back of the boat for the surf wake. The Boat doesn't look like it's leaning at all to the Port side. That tells me they took the picture with probably just stalk ballast and no additional weight on the port side. Also looks like the boat is going a bit faster than regular surfing speed.

When we demoed the boat the surf wake was quite good. We did have an extra 400 pounds inthe back locker and a bunch of people sitting on the one side.

Maybe im wrong, but im pretty sure ive seen those pics in a previous thread that was for an X-45. I remember a guy testing both and X-45 and a 247 LSV back to back and posted both sets of pics. Ill try to look for the thread tho.

Paul-- who's 21V have you ridden in that has a hard time keeping the wake clean? They aren't weighting it right if that is the case. I ride at 24 mph, and my wake is big and always clean. I can slow down to about 20 mph and the wake is still clean (with adjustments to the wakeplate).
Just curious.
