I want to install a 10" sub under the driver dash in my 1995 Mastercraft 205. I went into a local audio shop today and they said I don't have enough room for a sub there. Do you think this is correct? Any pictures would be very helpful. Thanks

Audio Advantage in Cincinnati( Auri) built my box and it has a 12 in it. It thumps. There is room! Just have to get measurements perfect so the box is designed to proper specs for the sub you choose. We prop our feet against the box and it gives nice support. Face sub to front of boat for best loading. sorry no pics, camera broken.

SO everyone is using the area under the seats as a area for the bass to "load"..

SO if I mount 2 10's in my X-1 and have the subs facing forward I will have better results than how then face the interior (rear)

My idea is to mount to Treo Engineering 10 subs in a sealed box and feed it between 500-800 rms..

Even if your going to be running the integrated fac sac up front?

Love to get some feedback on this... I get my boat back from winter storage on the 19th....

bass sound waves are omnidirectional for the most part. key here is the "loading"of the woofer.no ? that the front facing does the trick. your integrated sac wont get in the way, it will suck up some of the bass vibes but no biggie. post pics. notice that most sub boxes posted on this site r done this way.

I don't think the results are that different if at all.I had my 10's facing the opposite way before and some people I ride with say it sounds better the way I have them now.Like the pics above......

Just make sure you power them up properly and you are good.

If anyone else any mor pics... post away... examples are always great to work with.

I guess a little more protected from the "elements" such as swinging feet of your buddies or friends driving the boat when your out getting hauled around.

Here's a custom box I built using an Alpine Type-R 10" sub. The box was built out of 3/4" MDF and then covered in resin to waterproof it.

The only problem is mine just doesn't have as much room as all these newer boats....
