I see the water color is getting worse all the time, what is that puke brown or puke green with a little brown in it? Not that the lakes here in Texas are nice and blue or anything, but when I used to ride out there 5 to 6 years ago it wasent that bad or was it.

That is typical Elsinore during the spring, summer and early fall. You can set your watch to it... 2:30 in the afternoon and the wind is gonna blow. Water quality believe it or not has been really good in the last couple of years. Last green out was fall of 2005. The water will never be crystal clear, it is a natural puddle at the bottom of the watershed and only gets large amounts of water if Canyon Lake overflows. They are going to put some recycled poo water in this summer to try to counteract the evaporation of 3-4 feet each year so maybe it won't get really low and nasty.

The greener the better! If a little bit of color in the water keeps a handful of boats/pwcs off the lake, I'm all for it! It's not polluted (or at least that's not the reason it's green), it's algae. The wind on the other hand, I could live without. -Steve

Wind is great for business. I build wind turbine farms. Right now, I am in northern Iowa. Since I got a small cottage on Clear Lake, hopefully the wind will lay down for a few rides.
