wanting to replace my 6.5 speakers in my 2004 supra they are currently boston speakers and i dont like them. What would be a good speaker to replace with?

Check your mounting depth first off to see what will fit. Nothing worse then getting the speakers you want then not having them fit.

Do the 650's fit in the factory locations on a 2008 Malibu 23LSV or is a mod required to get them to fit properly?

The cut out on the XS-650 is a bit bigger than some in boats. But I think it drops right in on the malibu's as their factory holes are bigger to start with. Depth has not been an issue.
