Sub6-->Monarch-->Ronix pvc Boards-->Marek

The sub6 and Monarch are very close in weight when you add fins and hardware to the sub6.

The CSV1 and DHV1 have the same construction

The marek I saw was light for its size, but it was still just a foam core

The gator is supposed to be light, when it arrives.

Weight makes a difference, but there are a lot of other factors to consider too. All of these boards are very different.

My buddys new Murray setup is pretty damn light weight. Another vote for the Platinum series from CWB, they are light and stiff, pop like crazy.

Another Vote for Slingshot

Not sure where SS fits along the continuum, but, If i was still living in Utah i'd be tempted to go to some stores with a scale and put out the numbers ;)

I have held a SUB VI and the Ronix Darkcore boards, there is no difference (and this was just some prototypes, they're even lighter now). On top of that, Ronix bindings are lighter, making for a lighter overall set up.

Plus, you can't argue with a sticker price $200 less than the SUB VI

Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten. You will be glad you went with the SUB 6 and spent the extra money.
