Just wondering how far everyone drives to their regular riding spot? Not favorite....regular. I'm about 40 minutes and it sucks!!!

P.S. If you live on a lake, please don't rub it in by saying you drive your pimped golf cart two minutes to the dock! Thanks....

I think I win so far. I just moved to about 2 minutes drive from my marina. Get home after work, grab the stuff and go. The best move I ever made!

About 20 minutes from the delta
Old    shanday            07-22-2004, 12:46 PM Reply
Technically 20 minutes from the lake...but I borrow a boat that's 20 minutes in the opposite direction... makes for quite a late night in order to return the boat and then come back.... All worth it to ride.

Haha Joe, we're tough up here! That's what drysuits are for! My season is about Mar/Apr to Nov, then the boat gets put away for a few months while we snowboard.

I don't drive a pimped out golf cart...

...I walk down the steps to my dock...so really as long as it takes to load the cooler, grab my board and vest and go.

20 min bike ride to Kampeska, or 30 min drive to Lake Cochran, 30 min drive in the other direction to Lake Enemy Swim. Or 2 1/2 hrs. Detroit Lakes.

To be honest - the drive is worse to find a place to snowboard - It's way to dang flat!

I am about a mile from the lake where I work and at the house so wherever I'm at it only takes a couple of mintes to get there. Once I'm on the water its another two miles though.

4.7 miles to the marina; usually takes ~10 minutes. Then it's a grueling 6-minute boat ride to the usual spot.
