i ride the aso2's, i really like the forward lean and pump system for custom fitting...however, they take longer to get into, and you really don't come out very well...i.e. if you do any backside spins or landings, make sure you don't catch your heel edge, cause your ass is going to the hospital!!!

I'll have to agree with Pete, I rode the CD and felt they offered substantial support and had a comfy fit, however I seriously had a mental blocl on back rolls. I was afraid that I wouldn't come out of the bindings should I not make the rotation. Make sure you test ride them prior to purchase.... (Message edited by jetgofish on December 11, 2003)

One of the instructors at camp used to ride them. He said they nearly rip your foot off when you come out...if you come out.

IMO, they (AS01's) look like foot vices, and after hearing that, I would be scared to put a pair on, hahaha. But the VS01's look like they would be some sick bindings, I would like to try a pair of those.

I am sure there are tons of satisfied CD customers. I have heard of many people riding their bindings without a 2nd guess.

I had the AS01s, and they didn't work for me. The forward lean was too much for me (despite the "customizability" of them) and I couldn't get into the feel of the cloth liner. The boot I felt was WAY too stiff on them for me - especially combined with the forward lean. The footbed seemed really nice, and the air bladder is a nice feature, but they just didn't work for me.

i really like the bindings. the air pump sysytem is really cool. it gives a nice cushiony feeland adds support. the footbed is really nice having all those different layers for soft landings.

Check out ebay, there was a guy liquidating all 02 models for $100 a pair in all sizes. I was going to get a pair but he said they max out at 11.5 in an XL and im a 12.5.
