For some reason everyone time I try to get comfortable landing or even riding blind, the back of board gets pulled around and slap back silly on the water. What gives? I'm making a conscious effort to point my shoulder to the shore and put more weight on my front foot than normal and still no luck. Should I not be slowing down the boat to ease the pain of the fall?

When I was learning (still am) what helped was to surface spin them on startup (slower speed) and then ride one handed wrapped and try to cut out to the flats in that position, if you get in trouble you can slide it back and then try again. The real trick is to trust your board when you go to blind and do NOT try to look forward or behind (this will back plant you), you must look out behind the boat to shore - totally blind to the water coming at you.

Once you do it right you'll know. Then you can ollie them and take it to the wake.

I just learned how to land my ts 3's blind... and I think the key is what Chris said, and to look away from the boat and lean your shoulders forwards over your toes.

What helped me land this trick was first landing olly 2 blind, then inside the wake out 2 blind, then going w2w. Also when taking the trick w2w wait until you are almost on the water to go blind it helps keep your axis of rotation vertical. I also find throwing a grab makes you rotate later as well.

thanks guys. I'm working on the going to blind part and it's going well with the Ollie. I'm going to start with a one wake inside/out. The part that is driving my crazy is that once I land, and the rope gets tight, it get pulled around. Do I need to put more weight on my front foot? I can ride cuffed no problem. One handed gets me pulled onto my back.

Try to release some tension off the jump, don't progressive edge but rather ollie off it a bit.
