this may or may not not help because i have a Morse ski boat throttle lever, but i had to convert mine to a pull type throttle as well. PP said they'd never even seen an inboard with a push throttle. furthermore, a push throttle is said to be more likely to stick OPEN if the cable breaks
, so a pull throttle is safer. not sure that i agree with that, because either way the butterfly spring would have to overcome the friction in the cable, but anyway...
i also have the installation / owner's manual for the control, and the conversion was clearly explained within. i had to actually reroute the cable to the other side of the motor, flip the lever 180º at the Morse head, and switch the spring detent around that allows the boat to go into gear w/out revving the motor.
