Hey guys, it's almost that time... Blabel and Mel are coming up to visit in two weeks. We will be riding the Delta on Saturday, Aug. 23. Would like to get everyone together around noonish at Union Point to give them a warm welcome.

We are trying to convince Aki to come up with us but we'll see. Laura (Wife) is going to be out of town. He's going to be lost with out her so he needs to come up and have some fun.

We may be up for riding Sunday but it would have to be cut short so we can drive back.

We told Laura we would Gramps sit that weekend, so it looks like he has no choice

. I am not sure how long it will take to get back to SD on Sunday, but I am sure you could convince us that we need to ride for a few hours on Sunday.

Most definitely... We all usually ride both weekend days anyway. We could head out early and be back early if you guys decide you want to ride Sunday too. Wes, you bringing your SANTE out to play?

yes I can do sunday - or if you guys wanted to come to B&W we can all go out together (depending on sunday's turnout) and then you guys would be about 8 minutes away from the 5 freeway for the ride home =)

I might be convinced to tow my boat over to B&W on Sunday. It might be a nice change to get away from the Orwood crowds and it would definitely be easier for the SD crew! Sounds like a good plan to me!!

A few of us are camping at Tiki Lagoon that weekend. How far is B & W from Tiki? We'll be there on Friday night, all day Saturday, and we'll probably ride Sunday morning as well before heading home. If B & W isn't too far away it would be great to hook-up with everyone else.

Arun, we will have plenty of room. We have at least 4-5 boats right now confirmed for Saturday, and it sounds like just as many for Sunday, maybe more....

I'll send an email out today along with more info about a possible BBQ sat. night as well.

So it looks like:
Saturday, Orwood, launching early A.M. meeting for lunch at Union Point
Saturday night, BBQ
Sunday, B&W (still need to work out final details)

Tiki is quite abit from B and W. B&W is up by Rio Vista on Highway 12. You have to either go up to Antioch, go over the bridge, head to the highway 12 junction and then head east toward Tower Park Marina or head up 5 to highway 12 and head west. Nice area to ride....Water is colder than down south and there tends to be more big cruiser boats up there, but, not many ski boats.

I'll have to talk with everyone else going camping with me that weekend and see if they want to make the trip to B & W. Maybe Saturday might work out better at Union point for us, but we were kind of looking forward to an afternoon at Lost Isle seeing as how we are leaving the wives at home with the kids for the weekend.

In order for me to go riding with you NorCal folks, my wife needs references, signed permission slips and the FOOD list for the weekend, she doesn't want to see me go hungry!

Right now it is looking like 60/40 that I will be joining my son and daughter-in-law for the trip. The only snag could be that I will have to drive up Friday after work by myself.

I don't take up much space and I don't eat too much.........

I even promise to put socks on my feet so you don't have to look at them.

Aki - If you need to, why don't you just fly up Friday night and catch a ride with your son & daughter-in-law on the way home. I'm sure someone would pick you up from the airport!! It beats driving up and back by yourself.
