(I did not search this. Sorry to be lazy, but I think it might be an easy answer.)

The question is ... on my 2006 Nautique ... how likely is it that there is an un-used 10 amp fuse on the fuse panel?

I was thinking that manufacturers like Nautique might courteously leave the boat owner a couple or so un-used fuses for wiring in accessories in the future. Am I right or wrong?

(I’m wiring in a Boost box.)

Nobody?

My “Dash Pod Circuit Breaker Box”mounted in the helm’s kickboard has sixteen circuit breakers. These circuit breakers are only in circuits with dash pod switches. (There are other circuit breakers elsewhere in the boat.) All sixteen are labeled.

I recognize a device or system on the boat for all but one these labeled circuit breakers. It is labeled a circuit breaker for a “Shower.”. I don’t have a shower.

I would like to wire the Boost Box so it uses the Shower’s circuit breaker, but not be wired in with dash-pod-switch for Shower (the “Shower” switch would then be a non-factor).

Does this sound like a wise or unwise plan? Is there a simpler way?

Don't know about your plan, but my new 2011 Epic did come with a few extra fuses. I would assume a new Nautique would as well.

Shouldn't be any problem, simply take the hot lead off the out side of the breaker and into you Boost box. As you said, the shower switch will now be in-active.
