Ok, We have a 03 Malibu wakesetter and we never seem to have the same wake from time to time! On day we put two 500lbs sacks by the motor box and one 350lbs sack in the bow and one 350lbs sack on top of the MLS sacs between the spotter and the driver. And the MLS was filled. But the problem was our wake was smaller and softer than it was with just two 350lbs sacks by the motor with the wedge down. And sometimes we just put the two 500lbs sacks in there with no wedge and the wake is huge.

What does every one else do. And what the best combination for this boat for the biggest wake possible.

Thanks: Gene.

Are you riding in the same area of the same lake every time. Depth can play a major role in how the wake forms.

Keep at it. Wakes are a strange thing. Sometimes more weight isn't the answer. Where the weight goes is super important. Really important to know what speed and level you are riding at, too. Different people are looking to get different things out of their wake shape. Once you get your set-up don't mess with it. Keep the weight in the same spot and adjust around people weight.

Hey Cary or someone can you elaborate on that? I never thought of that and have inconsistant wake size/shape.

if the lake is shallow in the 8 to 5 foot you will have a smaller wake, but if your in a lake thats 50 to 100 the wake will be bigger. Its due to the way the water bounce of the bottom of the lake. There is a spot at my lake where you can see the wake change right in front of your eyes.
