I've seen these guys on myspace. I think they are based out of Australia maybe? It's is definately good to see groups like this though. We have one called "Wakeboarders For Christ" based out of Arkansas. Hopefully we can get our website up before long. Wakeboarding is growing and a great place to introduce people to Christ!

No that's not ours. Actually I think that one has been like that for a while. We honestly haven't even started working on our real page yet. We just have a little myspace page.

As far as the Florida thing goes I don't think there is one down there. But we have talked about trying to help other people get WFC groups started in their own state.

Glad to see that. I also saw where Shaun Murray said he liked ripin it for Jesus....That sure makes you feel good knowing some people will still take a stand when it is not politicly correct these days.
Paul thanks for the wakeup stickers you sent me several months back we are putting them on some of our demo boards.

There's another great group of Christians at
http://www.inhiswakes.com/.

I went and helped out for a D2R (Day to Remember) where they introduce kids to watersports and relate them to the Christian walk. They were all skiers there, but I brought my boards and the kids all wanted to learn that instead. It was a blast teaching them, and then seeing how the organizers linked the 'great day' in their minds with the message of Jesus. Look them up...I'm sure they could use help if they come through your area.

Murray and Gerry Nunn are both outspoken about their faith, this article also impressed me, Harris is a new convert and it shows. http://www.wakeworld.com/getarticle.asp?articleid=1071

That was a sweet article I hadn't read that one before! We need more people to speak up like Harris did in that article. So people can see that there is a place for Christianity in wakeboarding!

I'm just curious but if people are very religous do they ride on sundays?
Old     (kylek306)      Join Date: Feb 2003       04-30-2007, 10:08 AM Reply
well Ron, wakeboarding shouldn't be considered "work" in my book.

I think religious is a bad word to use in the first place. Devout or faithful would be better, but anyways I ride a buddy of mine who is a youth pastor every once in a while on Sunday afternoons in between the morning and evening service. IMHO there isn't anything wrong with riding on Sundays as long as it's not getting in the way of you going to church.

I agree with Eric, we ride in between church services, and it is usually a more mellow kind of day where other people who don't usually ride will come out and hang out on the boat.

Jesus was a barefooter not a wakeboarder and he didn't need a boat. I'm not sure if he would approve.

RadicalRiders.com.....Rob and Michelle are amazing people. I spent a week up near Steamboat and rode (snow) with them a couple times. Their house has a small park in the back that we snowmobile towed into all day and into the night. Rails, kickers, etc. amazing couple od people....
