I am going to have my daughter start boarding this summer does anyone have a suggestion ona good board for kids? Is there an instructional video out there that is for kids?

Detention. It's very clear and kids might get a kick from some of Shaun's antics. Some hyperlite boards come with a 10 minute getting started video. It's extracted from Detention. Covers the basics of getting up, edging, carving, crossing the wakes, ollies, and 1 and two wake jumps.

As far as boards, each company usually has a few boards for the little people (Groms).

I second that. Hyperlite Motive 119 w/ Spin mini bindings. My 5yr old has one and loves it. Small length, and pretty wide. A friend of ours has a 12yr old with a liquid force that leaves his at home when they are with us.

I think you can get the same board & bindings, a rope & handle a "how to" video tape as set kit from Hyperlite.

My 5 yo rides a CWB 123 with Liquid Florce Micro Bindings. He is 40 lbs. He likes his set up.

I like the Hyperlite 119's too, but there were known available on the shelf in our location when we were looking last year.

My 7 year old rides-Hyperlite Premier 124 with Byerly Bindings

If you know another kid that rides, take them in your boat and let her watch. We teach more kids than adults in my boat. Most videos are geared toward older riders, but if she can watch other kids doing it you will be surprised how fast she will get it.......plus just put the boat in gear when you pull her up the first few times,,,,she should pop right up.

Dang I never noticed how young some kids start. I wish I would have started that earlier. Its a good thing you guys are doing for them and the sport. You are insuring that there will be another generation of boarders out there ripping it up. Mad props to y'all parents and the groms.
