I own a 2002 Malibu Sportster LX with Swoop tower and wedge.I lover the way a d-drive handles.I like the way everbody sits together in a v-drive.Do they handle like d-drives? I also hear v-drives have bettere wakes.

Both boats handle the same when loaded.
Both boats can make the same sacked wakes.
Vdrives hold ballast and passengers better.
Ddrives handle unsacked better.
Ddrives make better ski wakes.

Optimize what is important to you. For me, its all about Social Wakeboarding, thus, I own a v-drive.

Sorry, off-topic. But I'm wondering what a wedge is. It isn't a piece of a pie is it??

Malibu makes the wedge. It is a plate that is mounted at the back of the boat that has an angle to it. It is designed to "pull" the back of the boat into the water. Some likes the shape of the wake that it creates, some thinks the wake is then distorted. Check out Malibu's web site for pics and more info.
