so i decided to replace my impeller today and found that the impeller already in place was in perfect shape. but when i took it out, not thinking about it. i didnt really pay attention to which way it faces. how do i know which way the blades are suppose to face?

also its a 5.7 mercruiser

THIS IS NOT MY IMPELLER PICTURED!
which way do it need to spin? I see the rotation on the pump, saying which way its going to turn, but which way should the fins face? 1 or 2? Upload

It should not matter b/c when it rotates in the correct direction it will fix itself.

Go with Eric's comment. About a millisecond after you turn the engine over, they'll all be facing the correct way. It doesn't matter which way they are facing when you put it in. Just squish the thing in there and ignore which way the fins go.
