good question. this is done in motocross quiet a bit though. ive seen at the awa they have special days where hyperlite awards anyone that hits the podium extra prizes if they are riding hyperlite.

Trevor,
The cash back is to Outlaw riders and open riders. All other divisions are paid in Hyperbucks which can be used at authorized Hyperlite dealers. If have to ride a 2006 or 2007 Hyperlite board. If you go to the Hyperlite web site and download the release form it has all the rules and events involved in the program.

this program is one of the best things to be happening in wakeboarding right now. we are struggling big time to keep up with the other board sports. its very hard to make a name for yourself and make money in this sport unless your top 5 in the pro tour. companies giving back like this will push the sport so much on the local and grassroots level. im deffinately proud to be riding for ype right now.

While it's a great idea, I think it shows that Hyperlite is getting desperate...

What ya right desperate, they are still the most recognized name in wakeboarding, I wouldent say they are the least bit desperate.
Its kills me you try to do something great for the sport and then someone says there doing it cause there getting desperate.

Thanks to Hyperlite for stepping up and giving back to the grassroots riders.

It's a great idea and I'm glad they brought it into wakeboarding. Not sure how having extra cash to spend on riders is desperate but I'm glad thier helping out. I wouldn't be surprised if other companies copied what Hyperlite is doing.
