Just curious about how other riders warm up before they hit the water? The unique situation of being on a boat rather than on dry land poses a limited amount of space to do static stretching before gettin behind the boat. What do you guys do to warm up or do you just get in cold?

I generally try to stretch before I do any activity.. ride, run, lift whatever. On the water I normally take a lap or two swim around the boat and then get in to do some stretching. (since dynamic stretching is kind of hard with the limited space) And for the first set of the day I always try to do the two minute drill from the Book series which just gets my legs warm and ready. I know some riders like to just hit the water with no warm up but I figure a little preparation can't hurt when you have the time.

Yeah my warm up is doing up my bindings. Might squat a bit once I have the board on, but thats it. I warm up with a few little wake jumps, carves and ollies when I'm out there, but thats it. I'm also not very flexible at all, as might be guessed from my routine.

sounds like the two laps around the boat would be beneficial. I usually have aboat a 15 minute warm up before working out so it would only seem right to atleast take a couple minutes before wakeboarding.
