Okay well I will tell you what my dad does, since i only mow lawns, wash cars, work at a sailing camp, paint speed bumps, sidewalks, handrails, and stairs. But my pops started his own company in the drilling industry with a guy he had previously worked with, for example when they put fiber optics underground, they use his device to track the drill head as it drills a hole for the tubing and wiring to go underground. He has a degree in FLUID DYNAMICS, who the heck has a degree in that? haha I'm pretty sure he loves what he does and so do I, it took many years of him traveling non stop to get to the past years where he can be home the majority of the time to be here for us kiddies and the mother.

finally the upload worked, 73 Donzi x-18, 07 X-star, tow rig-07 LTZ 6.1

Dan Smith, that explains the choice of boats! Oooo ba-zing!! I kid, i kid.

EJ, is that a growth industry?

I own nothing so my only contribution to this thread is to try and create a laugh. Working on my first home purchase and in a few years I'd like to get a boat. I work in personal finance & insurance services. It's grand!

I'm a GIS manager for a private environmental consulting firm and the wife is a registered vascular tech in the medical field. We have a paid off 1998 expedition and an 05 centurion avalanche (picture in profile) which we make payments on. We barely make ends meet with our money because we own a house and basically we spend too much damn money. I can't complain life really isn't that bad, I don't have to bum rides from friends all the time now.

I pay for my ride by developing/buying furniture for a large furniture retailer. Fortunately for me I was able to convince my wife to buy a boat the year before wake boat prices sky rocketed. In the spring of 2005 paid $36,999 for my 2004 SSV brand spankin’ new!

It’s a good thing too considering how the economy is doing these days. If people stop buying furniture I might not have been able to afford my boat payment if it we’re the same as what boats are going for these days

I sell steriods to baseball players who shall remain nameless, unless I have to testify before Congress. I also sell human growth hormone to Sly, and other baseball players.

As you can see, buisiness is good

Chase, thanks! That boat is my dads absolute baby, and same with the guys that work on it and winterize it, its their favorite boat too. Its soooo much fun, you can here it across the lake, its a completely different thing then our x-star, its simple and less problems to deal with. It sounds absolutely amazing too

Its all old. But it works. Nothing fancy. But its paid for. Boat is the newest item of the bunch. Priorities. hahah.

Just look for opportunities to make or save money.

Always wheeling and dealing. If I can get something cheap enough, I will usually buy it.

Looking for some more good deals on boats!

Next on the list. A boat for some salt water use of the island of Oahu. A boat for AZ. And one other for Carlsbad CA. Unless it is reasonable to trailer back and forth.
