We did Standley a few years back. Nice lake, worth the 2 week wait. Do you have to leave your boat on site all summer now?

It is worth the wait, but still sucks. These next two weekends are going to be rough, but they do give me time for spring cleaning and getting the yard ready so I don't have to worry as much once the lake opens. Next weekend is also Tommy's swap so we'll be there nice and early Sat morning.

If we take the boat off of standley lake, then depending on the time of year, we have to go through either an 11 or 15 day incubation period. WE are heading to Glendo in July, so we'll have to go through one, and maybe another in Aug for Powell. It's the only real draw back of the lake. The other semi-drawback is that it's a dry lake, so no booze. This one is is good and bad. It sucks you can't have a beer or two on the lake, and can't drink while camping, but it keeps the idiots off the water, or at least kind of does. They are less idiotic with the lack of alcohol.
