I have a pair of Lightning Wakeboard tower speakers (dual 6.5") on my tower. The JL audio amp that powered them died so I bought an Arc Audio KAR 600.2 to power the tower. The guy at the stereo shop said that the amp will overpower the (in his words) "weak tower speakers" Should I replace the tower speakers or just deal with it? The tower on my Calabria is low and I'm 6'-3" so I cant go huge with a new tower speaker.....

That's a stout amp. I would look into something of better quality ( wetsounds, exile, NVS) or turn that amp way down.

Well, If you ever decide to upgrade the tower speakers, you've got plenty of power to do the job. If the current double pods are wired in parallel so each pod is 2 ohm, I would re-wire the drivers in series and run 8 ohm per chnl. Should still be plenty of power for each driver, easier to tune and less chance of letting the smoke out of those 6.5" drivers.
