A good wake line is the cheapest, best, first, easiest, way to up your ride. (good boots is probably the next best) Don't get anything unless it says somewhere that the rope is made of "spectra" or "dyneema." these are no-stretch materials that are also super strong. for imagery sake, lets picture yourself wakeboarding with a bungee cord. as you cut out you will have to wait longer for the rope to tighten back up before cutting in. also the stretch will force you to work harder to get the same hard edge into the wake you desire... if you could get it at all. your everyday ski rope will stretch, robbing you of energy and ability to get more leverage on your cuts BEWARE of ropes labled as "wakeboarding ropes." sometimes the cheaper models are merely ski ropes with the looks of a wake handle. you will only waste your money on this kind of rope and handle. again, look for "spectra" and or "dyneema!!!!"
