Alright, me and my buddies have been trying to figure out exactly how to wakesurf behind my boat. We usually can load it up with about 7 people easily plus a king size water bed in the back which probably weighs the same as 3 (?) fat sacks. Anyhow, the boats a mastercraft prostar 205--same hull as the original x star. We can't seem to get a good speed to drop handle at, whenever we do drop handle we lose momentum and ultimately never can ride longer than a few seconds. Any suggestions?

try experimenting with speeds between 9 and 11 MPH. Also, as long is the wake is not curling over and washing out, try turning in a tighter circle. Make sure most of your weight is to one side of the back of the boat so that the boat leans over a lot.

Try surfing on both sides. Depending on which way your prop rotates one side might be better than the other especially if it is a direct drive.

Good Luck
