Cable ski is a whole different kettle of fish when it comes to designing a board. boards such as the valhalla and byerly should come with a warning for cable skiiers not to buy them. Has there been a board specially designed for a cable? What is the best!!!!!!!!!!!11

I have been riding premier's for ages (with nice bindings), but I must admit boards such as the substance, balance, and parks do look very tempting. any thoughts.

the substance was my pick of the bunch as well having rode it, but i can't get over the graphics on the parks though, is it really that bad of a ride?

The roams are no good for cable.......Fun Yes....But if you want it to last longer that 2 months I would save your money. You should look at the CWB Absolute platinum. its a good all around board

Fins = bad news on sliders. Plenty of guys slide fins, but they break off and need to be replaced. Substance, Harris, Premier, ERA, any board with good molded-in fins give you good edge hold to to load for air tricks, and will hold up reasonably well on sliders. Get some epoxy/bondo and plan to remake your molded-in fins every now and then - depending on how hard you slide. I ride a Substance on the cable - the molded fins break down every now and then, but they actually ride fine even if you don't fix it - where as a flat-bottomed board with a broken fin won't work so well... I've heard of people riding the Parks finless or with REALLY short fins, but don't know how well it actually does...

Is it better to ride a shorter board or a longer board on sliders liek at cable parks???
