I loaded my typhoon up with a 750 # sac in the port locker and a 150 # up front and ended up with a nice wave. I think my board is still too small but I went out with a buddy from so cal last night who is a surfer and after about 30 minutes of dialing the wave in he rode for 5 min without the rope. It really helps alot to see someone do it that knows how to surf. It definitely seems to be quite a bit about pumping the board. Every time he would fall back 10 feet he just needed to pump to get back. It was very sweet. So I have my work cut out to learn to pump. Thanks for all the advice here. My question now though is, I am currently using a 4'9" broadcast and I am 6' 210lbs. Will I have an easier time with less pumping needed with a bigger board? And if so which board would people suggest. Thanks again.

I would go with the Inland Surfer Blue Lake. It's very fast and has great edge to edge turning capability and we had a 220lb guy riding it very well over the weekend.

The Trick Boardz Freestyle in large or XL sizes have been popular with larger riders.
