Wake Crumbling

The wake on my boat tends to crumble on the side the riders on when weighted if the weight in the boat is uneven
is this normal??

My last boat was very tempermental in that the wake would always crumble or wash on the side opposite the rider and you were allways moving people or weight to get it just right but never really could. Our new boat is a huge improvement and the wake is not so effected by uneven weight.
