both of these boats being direct drive, how do the wakes compare? I have never ridden an air but have ridden a 205 extensively so how do they compare?

The 210 wake will be more vert and likely a little firmer. The 205 has more ramp, less kick. You'll also need less weight in the 210 to get a comprable wake. you should probably try and go ride a 210, people either love it or hate it.

I've heard that as well on the love/hate. I'm guessing the width is about the same.

210 is more narrow, but since its a more vert wake (you pop straight up and down), 205 is more left/right pop

210 is a v drive.

The OP is talking about the Air/Sport, which is not a 210/SAN/Super Sport(V-Drive), but a DD.

I also believe he is talking about a PS 205, not a 205V....for what it is worth.....

Yeah, he has another thread about Air vs. SuperAir

Just "Air" was a D-drive as well as the 205.

I know fellas, hulls are the same though. Comparison should still be pretty close to spot on.

i say 205, its a solid boat, and you can get a really nice wake with some weight.

I am pretty sure the hulls are not the same between the dd sport/air and the v drive supersport/super air. Same basic shape but the v drive hull is MUCH deeper in the back. However, weighting a dd air properly you can probably get a very similar wake out of both.

^^^depends on the year. I think the 95 (might even be 93) and up air/sport hull is identical to the 210 hull. Wetted surface is the same. the v drive hull is not deeper in the back, only the transom is different.

The 216 hull is not the same as the 210. 95-99 sport hull yes it's the same
