Do I have enough power??? (Deck and Speakers)

Let me preface this post with this....I know very little about amps and speakers so if you begin talk about Ohms, watts and other stereo specific terms I wont follow.

Here goes...

I have a Kenwood CD deck, 6 in boat speakers, 1 bass tube, 1 12" bass speaker and box, and 2 MB Quartz tower speakers. All of this is powered by a Kenwood Excelon(KAC-X650D) 5/4/3 Ch amplifier.

The system as a whole sounds fine but my tower speakers have never been loud enough to reach the rider. Like I said, I know nothing of how much power I need but I started thinking that maybe I need a separate amp for the tower speakers.

I basically need a run-down in layman's terms on what the problem could be.

Do I need another amp? If so, whats a good, cheap one to purchase?

Your tower speakers aren't designed to project sound 80ft away. Even with more power, it's highly unlikely that you're rider will hear them very well. I don't know what your budget is, but I'd suggest replacing them with something designed as tower speakers. The pro audio setups are expensive, but crazy loud. Kicker makes a new tower speaker that's supposed to perform really well for it's price. I believe they are about $250 for the pair.
