Here's a few pics from our riding yesterday. I have just joined the Canon Rebel xt family so these were taken with the stock lens and on auto everything. It's the 6th day of over 90 degree weather so, for once, IL has been good for wakeboarding - we were out at midday so the light was pretty harsh. Three tanks of gas, one broken handle, one thunderstorm - good times and progress from all involved!
goin old school

WHERE AT IN IL. MOVED TO CALI FROM IL. 10 YEARS AGO. LOOKS LIKE A RIVER? WE'VE BEEN WAKEBOARDING FOR A FEW YEARS NOW AND WHEN I GO HOME TO VISIT IT WOULD BE COOL TO DO SOME RIDING.

Gerry - It is the Fox River which is in the NW suburbs of Chicago. We rode in the Barrington-Cary area. You are welcome to join us any time you are in town.

Charles - This is the first time we were on the river (we usually ride on our lake) so we were uncertain of the depth. IL is going thru a serious dry spell so the river is low. Having already gone through a few props we were not eager to repeat the experience! This is a '98 Mobius LS with one fat sack in four to six feet of water.

Liz-

How you liking that Rebel? Loving mine but wanting to learn how to shoot manual (so complicated) ..... Three tanks of gas?? that's a lot of riding! Are you hitting up GLTR this year?

LIZRD,
THANKS FOR THE INFO. I MOVED TO WEST DUNDEE AFTER I GRADUATED ILL STATE. WE WERE THINKING ABOUT MOVING BACK TO CHICAGO BUT WE CANT GIVE UP SNOWBOARDING IN THE WINTER. CALI SEEMS TO HAVE THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS EVEN THOUGH ITS EXPENSIVE TO LIVE HERE AT TIMES. GOT TO LOVE THE RIVERS YOU CAN ALWAYS FIND GOOD WATER. WE BOARD IN THE DELTA AND WE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS WITH WATER DEPTH AND PROPS. TAKE YOUR TIME ON THAT TANTRUM, WAIT FOR THE POP BEFORE YOU FLIP, IT WILL GIVE YOU THE HEIGHT YOU NEED. HAVE FUN!!
