I currently have 8 alpine type s speakers on my boat, 4 in the boat and 4 on the tower. I recently purchased two kicker zx350 4 channel amps. I bought these amps because my sister works at circuit city and we were able to get them at cost.

My question is, will this be sending too much power to the speakers and cause them to blow? The speakers run at 50w rms.

They will be fine. Just set the x-overs accordingly.

Underpowering speakers or running too low a voltage to the amps is the most common way of destroying a speaker. I believe in feeding mids and tweets with plenty of good clean power and have never had one fail

so would you recommend selling the amps and buying something with a lower wattage output?

Those are good amps and should work great for you.
