I ran across an advertisement in the back of Alliance Wakeboard magazine for these sweet new bionic implants. The company’s web site guarantees that it will give you twice the pop off the wake. So last month I thought I’d have one installed. Hopefully it will also improve my spastic landings so I don’t break the other hip next season.

If I had a pic it would be similar to Roddyrod's except my tipical morning, the water where I ride is smooth in afternoon (on weekdays)

Never let a friend you think is kinda stupid drive your boat!!! By the way how do you tell a friend that really wants to drive your boat, and is a boat owner himself, that you think he's too dumb to drive, before this happens? He hit a bunch of grass in middle of Havasu and drove the boat under water (notice the grass on the top of the tower. The water level was above the seats. Not to end the thread on a depressing note :-)

I dont understand. How do you drive in some grass and fill your boat with water??
Old     (plhorn)      Join Date: Dec 2005       11-13-2006, 5:20 PM Reply
I was on a jet ski and didn't see the crash but apparently if you drive 40mph into a huge pile of floating grass (twice as big as the boat and looked like spagetti) it can pull the nose under and submerge the whole boat. Did you notice the broken windshield? There was grass on top of the tower. All I saw was my boat about 2 inches from the water line and a bunch of people scrambling for life jackets. I wanna cry just thinking about it. He was pulling a manta ray flying tube (yet another thing that will never be pulled by my boat again)

Tackle...I don't need credit....just another awesome week at camp next year. I think Tank wins the whitest legs though. Didn't I give you a CD from camp with all the pics????

Great pics everyone. Seems that friends, family and butter pretty much sums it up for everyone.

Personally, I love the group at Canyon Lake Wakeboard Club and the tournaments. So I would like to say thanks to the board and members for another great season and to the board for their hard work.....especially "POPS" who has been promoted to the Vets division next year.
WHAT A GREAT SUMMER!!!!!

All right I gotta ask- I just got my first v-drive so--how do you beach those boats that way?? I have tracking fins and all other things under there don't you???
Old     (migs)      Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: SF Bay Area       11-15-2006, 9:50 AM Reply
Shasta!
Yes, we all have the tracking fins as well.
Where our boats are beached are in a proteted cove, off a finger in Shasta - so there was no current, or rollers to worry about. The drop off was very abrupt and deep and most importantly, the ground was ALL CLAY with no rocks or hard spots. "we checked first - really well"
Tie em up (both ends-anchor buddy), and youre set.

Hey johnfo, aren't you scared the dog's nails will tear into the vinyl? I'm trying to convince my wife to get a golden, but I'd probably be nervous about taking it on the boat, is it not a problem at all? I took my old dog on the pontoon, but he never got on the seats.

Ian, goldens are the best dogs in the world. we take ours out in the boat all the time. we bring a blanket or towels along to slide over the back seat.

Thanks All! It's A Great Board. The 3 Stage Provides Lots Of Pop With Soft Landings. The ABS Fins Are Also Pretty Cool. The Board Is Slightly Heavy, But Will Be Made Lighter. Definately An Awesome Board Overall!
