Thats an open ended question. What engine and other options does it have? What trailer is it on? It could be a steal or a rip off.

RTP is the engine and it is a 310 HP. That sounds like a great deal since MSRP is $48,440.00 for the 07. (Message edited by waterfreak on September 16, 2007)

that does sound like a pretty good deal. the tandem axle trailer is an expensive option, and you are basically getting it for free. the tower mirror mount is another ~$200 option as well. ask about rear ballast and make sure they have the new prop on there (14.5 x 14, maybe), and you are good to go. of course, if they just wanted to throw in the swivel board racks, who are you to complain, right? . If it is an 08 MSRP is $50,800 so great deal again. Everything in your list is standard except the tower mirror, depth finder, transom saver, fire extinguisher, and tandem axle. Those are costly options and will jack that MSRP maybe another 2k.

57K is high for an X1. 45k is low for an X1. You have a lot of great options added that cost $$. I would get it. The CNC prop is interesting as they come standard in 07 and 08's with the OJ 14" prop. Good luck and post pics.

Make them give you the add on braces for the tower. I think they only throw them in if it comes with tower speakers. They are $300 if they don't. You shouldn't have to pay to beef up a wobbly tower and hide their design flaw. The standard prop is the OJ 14.25x14.5. Before that it was the 13.7x17 Swivel board racks are nice and you should get them to throw them in the deal or meet you half way. You are buying a boat in the fall and he will be motivated to move it and not hold it for the winter. Use this to your advantage.

I remember reading posts about the old XStar having problems making turns when weighted. Are there any changes with the X1 to fix that problem?

I think you are talking about the early pickle fork xstars that upgraded the rudder in 06 or 07(I think ?). If so, thats a different boat. I've never heard of anyone complain about the x1/old x2/old xstar on turning.

Way to high!! There is one in the classifieds 06 with more stuff for 37k. That's 8k difference. I paid much less than that for mine last year with more options. It is worth 41500.00 tops.

This is a post I found in boat archives. Chine locking was the term and I remember back in 2001-2002 a number of posts about it. Maybe David Williams might remember? By Zack Stewart (raider40) on Monday, April 21, 2003 - 1:36 pm: I keep hearing about this problem with the XStar (X2) turning to the left and "chine locking" causing the boat to run ashore. As the proud owner of an 02X which I routinely run with 2100-2500 of water weight I can tell you I have had NO problems with it "chine locking" and I've got almost 100 hours on it now. We run in a cove in Dallas which requires a very tight turn at the end and have made it time and time again. I agree with Stef that maybe DRIVER ERRROR had something to do with it.

The X1 will chine lock. If you load it up and whip a tight turn it can get hung up. First time it happens you will crap yourself, especially if in a tight course. All you do is back off the throttle a bit and she will come around. Definitely not worth discounting the X1, its a money ride.
