So after a few times having him in the pool with his board and vest on then moving him to the lake he finally got up this weekend. Only took about 3 times in the water with anywhere between 3 and 6 tries each time he finally got up. Now it's second nature to him and all he wants to do is board. Problem is he just hangs out behind the boat, doesn't fall and won't get back in the boat. Road for close to 20 minutes yesterday before he let go just to do it all over again. Now he's taking all of my riding time! Oh well...

Thats fantastic! My now 10 YO sucked gas just cruising for 11/2 years until he turned 9 then took his fins off and now shreds. The 5 yo is still riding between my legs and the 7yo goes for endurance heelside runs at about 4 gallons a set.

So personal ride time? Not so much but I bet you dont care either.

That's awesome!

I got my 8 year old started last year. This year he's competing in INT with his cousins!

That is awesome! I totally understand the pride you are feeling. My 4 year old grandnephew got up and rode for about 300 feet on his 10th try on Saturday. Last year he rode between my knees on the board and all winter long told his mom and dad that he was going to wakeboard by himself when they visited this year. It was incredible since the only time he has even held a handle was when he got up on a kneeboard last summer. Of course I shouldn't have been surprised since he did that all by himself too.
