Jefe, we are comming down tonight, I think I'm supposed to judge the event or something. Basically I'm there just to help out. I cant wait to see your new boat, it sounds cool. Talk to you this weekend, have a safe trip.

You all need to come down to Bull Shoals Lake, in SW MO. Much less crowded than Lake of the Ozarks.
VERY little boat traffic, even on holiday weekends. Our family just opened a resort and small water sports store in Theodosia, one mile from the lake. Great place to have fun and relax!

We just had MidWestCoast SummerFest at the Lake of the Ozarks, had a bunch of riders 22 pros - and Sunday just kicked it. Greg Necrason was there with a bunch of guys from Florida and California. One guy in Arizona, a couple from Oklahoma, Nebraska, Michigan, and Texas. The conditions weren't great on Saturday, but Sunday everyone had some pretty good runs.

Thanks to BigJackamo who came down and not just helped out, but used his sweet 2004 SAN during the PRO runs.

$10K purse with 11 Riders getting various amounts. 1st place took $4k-last place took $50.

I will post the winners ASAP.

Thanks Jeff, it was a pretty cool event and I saw some of the best riding I have seen in a long time. I just home that we can find a place that has a great land set up like they did but a better water set up.

Hey all...great event this weekend. Very well supported for first year. Except for the Intermediate division, all classes were well represented....should only get bigger in the years to come. The Red Bull tent and two sweet SANs got it done all weekend....very nice. As others said, the water wasn't the best but overall a fun weekend and worth the trip (6 hours from OKC). It's definitely penciled in on the '05 calendar. See you next year.....

P.S. Big thanks to the Andersons for hauling us around in their 15 passenger all weekend! Reminds of the days I used to ride the short bus to skool.

Any results from Sunday? I took off for the INT in Hartville, MO. How was Shooters? We went to the Filling Station in Osage Beach instead, heard the cover was $10 or so at Shooters without the VIP passes and we only had about 4 of those and way more people with us.

Doug, you thought you were in the ocean on Saturday, you should see that stretch of lake on a normal Saturday without the patrol trying to slow people down. Those were pretty good conditions, way better than the college event we had on April 2 at the Horny Toad at the 7mm.

Does anyone know how/who won the Outlaw division? (Top 3 places?)
Old     (eas)      Join Date: Nov 2001       06-08-2004, 9:05 AM Reply
Thanks for the pic Doug. We definitely need to hook something up to party cove next year. Yea, you'll be finding shot vials for the next two months.....in the van, in the laundry, in the couch cushions!

I'll be taking my boat out Thursday or Friday if you and Ryan want to jump in or if you just want to have Marlon pick him up....actually, it will probably be Friday because Marlon coaches T-ball on Thursdays. I won't be able to go out before then, so just let me know if you guys are in.

Nick: Shooters was okay Saturday. Yes, the water was rougher than we're used to. We usually deal with wind but not as many big boats throwing rollers from 1/2 mile away. We still had lots of fun.

Phil: Outlaw winner was Ryan Anderson. Slob 3, whirly, and switch backroll were the most technical tricks he threw. Doug (his dad) from above could tell you the rest of his run. Forgot names of 2nd and 3rd place...sorry.

Thanks Jay....but as usual, I came in as the bride's maid on this one. His TS Front Roll was enough to top my HS 3. It's all good, though, we had a great time. Ryan rode really well. Marlon had a little trouble with the rough water and didn't make the finals. We'll be getting ready for SPF in the coming months. Hope to see you there! Later......

Nick: We almost came to the one on April 2, glad we stayed home. its pretty windy here most of the time but you don't have so many rollers. I drove a couple of divisions on Saturday and it was pretty rough.
Phil: I sent an e-mail to Sammy to get the results

Doug,

That tournament was pretty bad. The riders had decent conditions, the slalom skiers on Saturday has to deal with rollers as well as a 25 mph wind kicking up whitecaps. The Sunday wakeboarding was relatively smooth, I would say better than the conditions on Saturday at LOTO. I would never do it again though!
