We are just learning to wakesurf. What do you all think of my wake. Do I need more weight?
Do I need a different boat?

Thanks

My boat is a 07 X-Star. About 600lbs in rear locker and 250 in the front under the seat. Stock ballast empty except KGB half full(250lbs)
We had me (200+Lbs) and my wife and 1 friend at 150 lbs.
We can throw in the rope and ride until we get tired. I always was told the Xstar was not good to surf behind, but it is working good for us. Any advice is welcome we can always use a bigger wake.
Thanks

Dreambig,
The only reason I posted pics of the wake is because so many people on WW say you can't surf behind an xstar or you cant surf on the starboard side(that's the drivers side). We are new to the whole surfing thing, and could use some help on the weighting of the boat.
I am sorry that you took offense to that.

we were just out on a 07 xstar today (20') and it was one of the biggest wakes i have ever seen or ridden hands down....may have been a smige bigger than my 211 but it didnt have the length... regardless it was a great wake...

it take alot of weight to get that puppy to get the wake big, beefy, and clean.. it will do it..

would suggest 600 lbs pop product bags lined all along the side of the boat, 750 bag in the rear, 400 in the front, 400 in the rear seat area, and lots of peeps (no belly tank)

At what speed are those pictures taken at?

The speed is 11 mph on the Perfect Pass. I calibrated it with the GPS so it should be right on the money.
