I have never really addressed this question and never put to much thought into it till now. My boat came with a 13" 4 blade prop with 12.5° pitch. I have 3 props for the boat....the original and 2 replacements. The replacements are the ones I use most of the time...cant remember the last tome the stock one was on. Anyway, the replacements are ACME 4 blades, but they are both 13.5" with 17.5° pitch. I do not know how or why I ended up with this pitch difference, but I did. What difference would 17.5° pitch be compared to 12.5° in the way of wake performance. I run about 1000lbs ballast with 6-8 passengers 95% of the time. Obviously I want the biggest wake possible, with the cleanest lip....what pitch would be best?

The prop doesn't effect the wake, it will sometimes effect the rooster tail and whitewash right behind the boat. You will have much more top end with the 17.5 pitch, much better hole shot/torque with the 12.5 pitch, and run more ballast with less effect on noticeable power decreases.
