Just wanted to say "thanks Dave" for all the work you put into making this happen again this year...as well as thanks for the donor companies that made it possible. I wasn't able to win an item this year, but it thrills me to know that some 'not so fortunate' kids are going to have a Christmas that is more than they were expecting. Tell your kids thanks too
Thanks to you all for bidding on the items and, of course, all the great sponsors, especially CWB for kicking in over $5,000 worth of stuff and bringing in 30% of our take!! Very nice!!
My kids, wife and I had such a blast buying the toys and delivering them to the Marines this past Saturday. It's so funny how people stare when you're scolding your kids for not filling up their basket with enough toys or walking through Walmart with a five-cart caravan that keeps stopping to pick up toys that are falling off of the over-stuffed carts!
The best, however, was the reaction of all the Marines. I guess it's been a really tough year as far as donations go, so they were very grateful for all the toys and the cash. Thanks again to everyone!!
