So I finally dialed in my first invert, which was a healside backroll. I land it at least 9 out of 10 tries so I think that its time to add something to it. Is it going to be easier to add a grab to it or take it revert? With all of the tension on the line and the rotation of the backroll it seems like it would be tough to grab it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

try grabbing it method, when i tried it it automatically spun me a quarter rotationtowards revert without trying. just wait for the pop first.

if you want to revert it u gotta let go with your lead hand and put the handle on your back buttcheek, almost like putting the handle in your pocket and look away towards from shore so you you dont open your shoulders to the boat

uh, mike, baby-steps, dude.

justin's right. do a regular backroll. 3 quarters of the way around, let go of your lead hand and take the handle on your buttcheek. don't let go too early as it will sort of stall your rotation, and you might end up short. that'll definitely hurt.

the best thing to do is to get your hs 180s down. try initiating the rotation at the peak, if not the way down of your jump. that will teach you to ride off landing switch late.
