Do you think they would take Western Union money transfer?

Total scam, that boat was originally a demo for Cincinnati Mastercraft and sold in Cincinnati for around $68,000.

That one was for sale on here not long ago. Guy lost his job and had to sell just after buying it, or so the story goes.

If someone is interested in it a phone call to the guy would confirm much of the true story. The phone number is in the ad. Appears he had other boats for sale too, which is somewhat suspicious. Plus it could be examined and held at a boat dealership. There are lots of things that can be done to prevent scams. 3rd party transfers are pretty easy to do these days.

Sometimes you actually get killer deals in life. I know I have! Cash is king!

I just sent him a cashiers check for $48K and he is going to cash it and send me the boat and the extra $20K back. What a great deal!

At that price I still wouldn't buy that gas drinkng 30 mph anchor.

brock, i think your thinking of bu's wedge no? you would have to be borderline retarded to not buy, to atleast make 20 grand off it!

there needs to be a sarcasm font, that last post makes me think your actually serious. Then again there was a fire sale MS in the classifieds and the thread got ripped to bits and it was an actual real sale fairly cheap.

Don't get me wrong, the xstar is the sexiest boat made hands down but its still a anchor.

"30 mph anchor"

If you are a boarder only, the x star is fine speed wise. Do you really need more than 35 MPH? Unless you are the doucebag with ten tower speakers, board racks full of brand new boards, turning roadies between tube runs.

Nobody here gives a dick about speed in a wake boat.

Roll a crew that rocks diffrent boats. We hit vacation with 4 class A RVs, towing a wakeboat, a 22 ft Advantage, a 90+ MPH flat, and a trailer of jet roaches. Every boat has a purpose. Speed has never been MCs thing.

It doesn't have anything to do with speed, just the fact that you have to put two tons worth of ballast for it to come alive. Its a poor design and the industry is lagging because nobody demands improvement. So keep dragging your nine thousand pound rig through the water and don't get mad when you see your gas bill.
Anchor.

They pull the PWT for a reason.
Old     (justridin)      Join Date: Oct 2002       12-29-2009, 8:18 AM Reply
Correct Nacho. The reason is that they pay for the right to do so.

The way you demand improvement is by spending your money in other directions.

So which boat gets your vote?

No boat gets my vote Nacho. There all over priced chunks of epoxy resin using decade old chevy computers and Engines.
Might be nice to have that new X25 with a turbo deisel option though.

And thats the attitude that got us where we are,a decade behind in favor of flash and owners goggles so thick nothing relavent ever comes of anything.
Do you not wish you had current tech ten years ago? What would perfect pass have been like in the early years?Ballast?Better boards?no stretch ropes?
What would it be like now if companies had spent more on hull design and drive systems instead of flashy new crap?I don't want to wait.I don't want a ton of ballast.I want a modern wake machine with real technology and effort behind it that doesn't require crazy things like water bags and a damn straight shaft going through a hole in the floor.Wake up people and smell the coffee called the same damn boat as last year.
Old     (denverd1)      Join Date: May 2004 Location: Tyler       12-29-2009, 11:45 AM Reply
Then buy a 2001 and get your ass on the water in a boat with a price that matches the "current" technology!

No water bags?? What do you recommend we do with ballast?

A hole in the floor??? So you want the engine under the boat???

Brock has me laughing. He thinks that someone who spends close to 6 figures on a boat to be used 150 hours per year is worried about gas prices.

Take up jogging if you are worried about cost. It think that a good pair of shoes can run $100.

Brock take up sailing. No flashy crap there, no big gas bill either...
