I am surprised at the results of todays poll so far. 10+% of voters (over 200) are only 360 degrees away from landing a 10? I'll give the poll a bit of error as 5.7% of 208 say they've done a 1080, and maybe people read the question wrong as to "how far are you". Unbelievable the progression we are seeing today. If this poll was taken back in 99 when parks landed the first, or even 3 years ago I wonder how many people here were actually doing 540s or even 360s. Ive finally put down t/s 5s pretty good, I could see a 7 sometime in my future if the stars align but damn, just wanted to throw Danny, Rusty, Parks and Mark Kenney props and also props to everyone else on getting more people out there and more people throwing down.

Well, I guess I'm average at 720 deg away from landing one. maybe next year I'll be 540 or 360 from it....

BTW, There are 13 liars on that poll. Unless Parks, Danny, & Rusty voted 4.333 times each.

well I know there are ppl who aren't honest or who are messing around, but on average... the majority of ppl are 720 deg away, the 360 is a big hurdle in my opinion (or maybe I just suck haha) I only ever ride stock weighted wakes so I'm interested to see what is out there for me and see what else others continue to throw down

I only ride my boat stock as far as the wake is concerned. I'm getting a lot more consistant in my 360 this year. Last year I could only stick it 30% of the time. Are you able to land the 360 now?

yea, I can do 3's off rollers, they've gotten extremely consistent this past summer. I ride mostly my tige with a little bit of weight... no weight and 8 ppl and the wake is enough for the t/s 5. Other than my boat I mostly ride a stock weight or front ballast + v-drive sacs and no stock rear in a centurion avalanche, that wake is nice, but nothing like I see here for BIG, I rode a new x-star at 80 ft and that thing was WIDE and pretty damn big. I learned the 5s at the gerry nunn clinic... malibu lsv with like 12 ppl and idk how much weight or if he even had the wedge down, one kid asked for him to load it up, I just let him give me what I got...

oh yea, and your stock weight x-2, I'd say that wake is more than enough to boost up thru 540s and some good inverts, I like that wake a lot

I can't believe more ppl haven't commented on this... seems like my threads are always invisible to the community because Im not a super active member... I want to know where all these 900, 720 and 540 droppen kids are. I know the 5 isn't a huge accomplishment, but damn, 7s and 9s are sick, i didnt know that many ppl are doen them

It would be real interesting to see the truthful results of that poll, isn't this supposed to be the "grown-up" wakeboarding website? Why all the immaturity when answering a simple poll question?

I think this question was just asking for f-ed up answers (seriously, why did they have 0 listed?). Some poll questions could be serious, but quite of of them pretty much set up to be goofed on.

BTW - When someone conducting a survey calls my home (always at dinner, or when the Duck game is on), I always hand the phone to my 5 year old to answer.

I'm with you on your comment that people either read the question wrong, or simply do not have the math skills required to calculate how many degrees they are away from doing a 1080. You would not believe the number of my college students who whip out their calculators to figure out 8.564 / 1. I don't think the poll questions are meant to be goofed on...I just think that 25% of wakeworlders are goofs at heart

Loren - Did you not see yesterday's poll question? Some comments about it http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/4387/382986.html?1161754878
