Anyone experience a Skylon Pod failure? A friend was towing two small kids on a banana tube directly behind boat at 15 mph when one end of starboard rear support tube pulled out and pod pole ripped the stub right off the floor mount as it tipped over. Unit was almost new and installed by the book.

Somewhere either in the instruction manual or on the pod it likely warnes to not pull a tube, that's a big risk with a pylon or a tower. Tubes can torpedo under water or get caught on something and they do not let go like a person does. Many tubes now come with 6000 lb test line so that becomes a disaster waiting to happen.
