2003 X-2

I'm looking at selling the cabin cruiser that I have right now and buying a used 2003 X-2, with 173 hours on it. A plug was left out when they winterized it last year, and they had to replace the engine, which only has 23 hours on it. I need a wakeboard boat bad, because I've found that most of the people that I could ride with are relatively unreliable when it comes to actually coming through with towing me. Are there any known problems with that years model or anything? Any info on the quality of that boat? I know I'll need to get it checked out by a marine mechanic before I buy, but I'm just curious if you guys think it would be a good buy ($15,000).

Actually, after looking on the internet, and only finding 03 X-2s for over $30,000, the question becomes do you think the boat is okay? Or do you think it's being sold at a liquidated price because he needs to sell it for money?

15k sounds too low, sounds fishy.

I agree with Ed that boat should be in the 30's.

Yeah. I don't think the guy selling it really knows what he's talking about. Plus I finally figured out the address that he had on there, it wasn't a mistype of MA, NA is apparently some country code regarding indonesia... Yeah, I'm an unobservant idiot...

I'd stay away with a 10' pole....if you can't touch and see... let it be.

Aye. Agreed. I still feel like a complete idiot for not noticing the Indonesia bit...

The X-Star is in Florida... And a trip to a place with warm weather sounds like fun... Even if it is a scam. I'd get out of Virginia...
