well, she's definitely a good rider....but did anyone else have a sour taste in their mouth due to all the jawing her dad has been doing against the other female riders (basically, the Hoffman thread)? I mean...I know he wasn't particularly running them down, but it's still the first thing I thought when I saw Nicola's video on the front page....I thought..."well, I guess her dad made a big enough deal to get her a vid on ww"...

sorry...but perception is everything....good luck to nicola though....she definitely has something going there....

She definitely kills it. Good foundation to take down the top girls for a long while. I like how she pretty much rails at every trick, that should bode well for a long while.

I'm in for some really good riding, She takes a lot of those tricks huge. I like how they started the film with a huge Raley, yep that caught my attention. It is crazy on how this sport is going and the kids are progressing. Keep up the great riding everybody.

Damn. One of the only girls that seems to get pop like a guy. I think her style will probably improve with time and clean up a little but dman she's ripping! There seems to be a nice new breed of girls coming up that are changing the women's side of the sport for the better.

Ya got something against people having fun? It isn't going to get you big points in a contest because it's an easy trick. So in that respect there's no trend. But it's accessible to everyone especially those who are first learning to hit an obstacle.

I agree with John...I saw her spin a 10 on the box and regardless of your appreciation for people spinning as fast as they can when they hit it, i've only seen a few people get 10 on that little box. I get dizzy at 7, lol. She charges all of the obstacles like a guy, backlips the aframe as good as anyone, very impressive for such a young girl...

i didnt read any of the previous posts nor am i going to because of nicola's dad's rants. i am hoping that nicola doesnt share the same jealousy, hate or whatever her dad expressed.

i do think that nicola rips and has alot of potential. she has quite a few tricks under her belt, rides clean, smooth and stops everything big and in the flats. i dont know if anybody noticed but in that vid she does a switch 3 and backroll. not to forget about her rail skills which she kills it at. pretty sick. if i were her coach at this point id make her stop learning tricks and consentrate on a lil bit of style by making her ride finless and grab everything and she would probably be unarguably the best girl in the sport.

She's very, very good and way better than me, but her style is more Shapiro-esque (hard charging) or early Parks at this point, IMO, than Lyman. Clean and big, but not super-stylie. With those big air skills, though, it wouldn't take long for her to develop that aspect of her riding...I'd love to see top women's riding to go more in that direction than the contest based, wrapped kgb/crow/frontroll/raley/off axis 3 automoton type style that seems to be the norm. But, that's a different topic. Girls/Women are definitely getting a lot better recently...good to see.
