They where having a huge sale and I signed up for an NFM card so I got an additional discount, no interest or finance fees until 2011 which works for me, sadly in the break up, my girl got to keep the TV, now that I don't know how happened LOL

That was a great deal!

We (my son actually) just bought a really nice Sony Bravia 32" with direct internet connection for $469. (720p) Dell had it for $432, but we missed that sale. Check out dealnews.com. I bought my LG 32 for $379 shipped from an "ad" there. BTW, you can check out SonyStyle.com. I wouldn't have thought it, but they do have some good deals on there from time to time. On dealnews, I noticed they had a nice refurb the other day for a 46" or so Bravia. They were sold out when I checked the site.

I saw the 32" sony for $426 the other day. I actually bought the BX300 and returned it because I found a much better deal on a 720p 32" Samsung at best buy ($389). I got suckered into looking at bigger and off brand name TV's with full 1080p while I was at best buy and now I'm torn between spending a little extra money to get a bigger less known brand or to stick with a better known brand and stay in the 32" range and get a 1080p? I found a 1080p RCA 42" for $550 and the sony EX400 with comparable attributes, but a smaller screen 32" was $499?

Thoughts?

There's quite a few threads on here about this, Most say that 720p is fine for 32". I agree. When we tune into the HD channels, I can really tell the difference from my analog TV. However, I doubt I could tell the difference with 1080p. I almost bought an off brand when we bought the first 32", but in the end, I could not see spending good money for a no name, even if it came off the same assembly line, tv.

I saw the BX300, but we bought the EX308 with a few more options for $470.

So ended up buying the LG with just 720p. Best Buy had it for 399 and it seemed like a great deal. However, I'm now a week into it and my xbox will only go into 480p with the HD cords and Best Buy now has a 1080p Insignia with 3 HDMI inputs for the same price. Also the Insignia has a 2 year warranty where as LG only offers 1 year and then you have to buy a 2 or 4 for additional $$. Should I return and trade for the Insignia or stick with the LG?

I think LG makes the Insignia as well...
