This may be a stupid question, but I have a pair of the Fusion Combo's which hold the Diamond 6.5's & the 5.25's and one tweeter pod, but I've decided to replace the Diamonds with a pair of the Polk 6500's. With a little work I can fit a Polk 6.5 in the 5.25 can, so I'll have 4 6.5" polks up there. My question is, seeing as how I only have one tweeter pod, will it matter if I don't hook up the tweeter going with the speaker I'm putting in the old 5.25 can. Just wondering if it'll hurt anything not having the tweeter connected to the crossover, I mean, I don't see why it would, I just don't know for sure.
Thanks...

You will only get midbass and no high frequencies. If that doesn't matter to you then go for it. If this is your goal it would be much cheaper to buy some mids from a place like partsexpress.com and use the amp as your crossover.

Why not just get a coaxial 6.5" for in the 5.25 location?

I also have a pair of the Polk 6X9's up there, So I'm think'n I should still have plenty of high frequencies. Maybe I should put the 6500's in the large can, using the tweeter pod, then put 650's in the smaller cans and then have the tweeter which is in the middle on the 650's.
