Monster Tower Bimini Top for X-5

Anyone out there know if Monster Tower's Bimini Top will fit a 2000 Mastercraft X-5 with a factory Zero Flex tower?

Any other comparable in price Tower mounted bimini tops that would work?

I should fit no problem because the Monster's arms curve in much narrower then the X5 tower, my guess is that it may look too narrow?

In general, bimini's and towers dont get along well. Most factory boat bimini's mount wide and go straight up, they will normally not fit under a tower. Tower biminis curve to the center to match the tower design, and each tower company provides custom bimini's to fit their tower.

Nearly all of us tower slingers third party our Bimini's to people that specialize in that. The big problem is they are made to the customers size and color specs, so they can not be returned if they dont work. I'd advise against using a non-factory bimini because these products can not be returned as they are made to order for the customer.

I'd recommend the factory tower bimini that was made for the 2000 X-5. I know it's likely more money (as OEM product generally are) but you sure dont want to spend $4-500 on something that does not work.

Last summer the crew at towerbiminis.com built one for my 1998 Powerstar with a 2002 Zero Flex Tower. The Bimini worked great, should have done it years ago. You might want to contact them and see what you could work out.

I heard a lot of good things about them and was really impressed with their product at Surf Expo last year, probably the best way to go that I've heard of so far.

Great looking set-up Never2Old!! That tower and bimini combination looks great...I'm definitely giong to get up with the guys at towerbiminis.com. Your bimini is the best I've seen yet. Just so I know what I'm looking at as far as price, what did you pay for yours? I would like to keep it under $800, but I'm not sure if its going to be possible.

I believe I paid $800 for the bimini, had to take a few measurements based on a special form for Zero Flex Towers and then just attach it to the tower when it arrived. Took some tweeking in the driveway during installation but the guys at towerbiminis.com were great at giving directions. Hope it all works out for you.
