And they say you can't find good water @ Lake Mead

Thanks to Jonny and Sarah for hosting Tate & I for a fun filled day at Lake Mead. Jonny's "special" spot had great water all day long! I still can't believe how BEAUTIFUL and clear the water is there. I can't wait to go back, although next time, I'll be bringing my SCUBA gear too!

I was there for a week back in September, camped in that same cove (pic #2 - just outside the narrows on the right hand side, correct?). Same conditions accross the entire lake for three days straight.

I've never heard anyone say you can't get good conditions there. Granted I've had victory at sea conditions as well. Get lucky with weather and it will be an epic week, and it lasts through October if you are really lucky. Looks awesome, so jealous.

fire cove kicked arse when i was there. that was about halfway between echo and overton. it really depends on the water level though. mead rocks! at least when the wind is not blowing....

Hey Tate, I have been looking at that jacket, how do you like it and what size are you wearing in relation to your chest size? I am ordering online and cant find a sizing chart for that vest. I have a 40" chest.

I have.The only place to get good water most of the time is the Delta.

See what happens - You do something thinking it's going to be ok and some jackass takes it and turns it into something negative. Happens to everyone at some point, sorry you had to be the one taking it for the team, but I would do it again! I'll be in Vegas in December, maybe you can catch me doing something stupid on film then.....
