the binding I would like to ride is a frankenstein binding made out of a LF Transit or Sphynx plate and footbed with an Ultra boot on top of it... I ride Ultras and would buy brand new ones if I had the money...

really like the new alphas, it's a really comfortable and tight fit, especially for small feet like mine.

I've owned 02 Parks, 03 Parks, 04 Temets and now 04 CWB Zeus bindings. I can say w/o a doubt that the Zeus are the most comfortable bindings I've ever ridden. They seem to hold up well to the punishment and most people I know ride them. I'd be interested in trying the new LF bindings and the new Ricky G Nice bindings tho....

I was ready to buy the RG binding. I put the Zeus on one foot and the RG1 on the other and walked around the shop. The Zeus felt more supportive (stiffer) and more comfortable to me.

my fav is the Hyperlite Byerly, i don't need to use any slime to get in/out, and they are very comfortable on my foot, these are the only bindings that i have used in the last 2 years that haven't made my feet hurt after my set

the sphinx look nice... I loved the concept of the transit but I thought they were a little too high around the ankle... I tried the alphas and they didn't hold my feet enough... it would need some more support low around the ankle like the ultras... but for the price, excellent binding, comfortable and easy to get into...

i ride cwb torqs... they are probably not as nice as zeus, but they are a better price. i had mobe bindings before this. mobes in my opinion are the best beginner bindings you can get. the torqs were a nice step up. if i had the money i'd go zeus. but i dont think i will ever need anything better than the torqs. and if i break them, it's not like i just broke an expensive zues binding! torqs are excellent bindings... i highly recommend them!

Parks are great bindings I'll agree, but I just got a pair of Gator Lace-ups and they are great. Pretty tight at first, but they are loosening up and they are really starting to get comfy. RG1's and VS01's look interesting as well.

the new ultra suctions are so much better. they fixed the ankle support which used to hurt the pressure point in your foot. the new lining on the inside is also the best. 2004 ultras are the best.

Leo-- i just posted on a thread that was about bindings..and I posted on it..then I just read your post on here...HELP!!! *posted on small or medium bindings* My hubby brought home the new Ultras for me to demo in smalls. I took them to bathtub lubed up the ol' toes and TRIED to get my feet in. broke into a sweat and FINALLY got em in. left slid in easier (left foot is smaller) right was a B**ch. got em on,,walked around..left foot felt great..right arch began to THROB had to get them off...ASAP. freaked out cuz Hubby skateboarded up to corner store and so I poured a 1/2 bottle of shampoo in binding and hurt ankle trying to get it off!!! (picture this image people..pretty funny!) annnyway, taking them to boardshop to see if right one can be adjusted ..does anyone know if this can be done? or should I just forget it and try the Minx? I want something no frills. do they stretch out with more wear? or will they ALWAYS be that hard to get into? the splits are my first and onlys' so I am clueless.

2004 Liquid Force Ultras!!! Angi... they do start to feel MUCH better after about a month of riding but you HAVE to learn the correct ways of getting in and out of them.

Hey Angi, I went through the same thing. In my experience the Ultra Sucs were just a pain in the ace. I loosened them up and still had problems. It's not that they are tight, it's that frikkin material they use that sticks to your skin. After I would ride, my ankles would be sore from trying to yank my feet out of the binding. I would say take them back if you can. Also, the colder the water, the worse they are (not that this is a problem in Florida). I finally did this to make life easier:

I have a modded pair of NICE PRS-1's that are very comfortable to me. Another suprising pair I recently tried on was the Gator Storm Trooper Lace-up's. If you havent tried them out yet, you should give them a shot. Supportive and tight!

I love my 03 Byerlys. Everyone complained about the BOA breaking, but if you keep it snapped in, they wont bust off. They get as tight as you want and are sooooo mad comfortable!!!! They let me ride easier with my bad knee!!!

I love my 03 Byerly's! Easy entry. A lil time consuming to twist the knobs,(by time consuming I mean a extra 30 seconds compared to the lace ups) but once your in tight these babies hold. There is only one instance where one foot escaped during my last few ride.

I tried a pair of RG1's and they are awesome. Super comfy and pretty supportive. Michael, they will break in. This is the 3rd pair of Nice bindings I've tried, and they will start out tight but give them time and they will be perfect.
