Swing Check Valve's

I was looking for some 3/4" pvc swing type check valves and wanted to know if anybody knew of a decently priced place to get them. The pvc ones at plumbingsupply.com seem to be unthreaded and I am pretty sure I saw threaded ones on here at some pint thanks.

HD / Lowe's do not have PVC swing checks, just brass. I had to special order them from a plumbing supply.

Is there some disadvantage of using the brass over the PVC. Also I did end up finding some online at a pet's store. I don't see how they can cost as much as they want for them though.

I bought mine at lowes, but they are spring loaded

Didn't look like they had much in swing checks, but what about a ball check? Flow is still really good... Easier to find that size, too.

Ball check valves might be an option anybody offer any input on that?

I've got ball check valves on my system and have no problems with flow. I'm pushing 1200 gph through the lines and didn't see any decrease in fill time before/after putting the check valves in place. Now, I'm using 1" line/check valves - BUT, threads on sacs only allow 3/4" of flow ANYway. If I remember right, I oversized to allow for max flow... pump output was 1 1/8", fill lines are 1" (with 1" ball check valve) and the sac thread is 3/4". I'd have to double check all that, though...

I bought swing check valves from plumbingsupply.com, but I had to glue a pvc threaded bushing in to each end of it.

the opening on the end of the non-threaded 3/4" check valve is 1" I think. After you put the bushing in there you have a 3/4" threaded opening.
